The Southern Minnesota Tech Prep College Credit Certificate Request Project represents the cooperation of 8 Carl Perkins Consortiums and 17 post-secondary campuses across Southern Minnesota. The purpose of this joint project is to provide students in participating high schools the opportunity to earn college credit for classes they take in high school. These credits are earned at no cost to the school district or student and can be redeemed at a variety of post-secondary campuses (listed on the certificate) upon admission to the school.
Anyone can view the available certificates and the corresponding competencies that students must meet. To request certificates teachers will need to register and select a unique username. Teachers register by clicking on 'Login' and following the instructions on the screen. Once registered, teachers should contact their consortium's Tech Prep/Perkins Coordinator to receive the secure password.
Requests for Tech Prep College Credit certificates can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Official certificates will be mailed directly to the high school instructor for distribution to students.
